I have a real problem with public speaking. It’s probably been going on for about 5 or more years that I’m aware of. Since I could remember whenever I’m in a publick speakiing situation whether it be a classroom setting or a small social group symptoms range from voice cracking, excessive hand shaking (very obvious), nervousness, sometimes sweating. I guess I’m looking for a quick fix to my problem like medication or something, i’ve even heard hypnosis does a thing or to…any ideas?

I need to start working on my public speaking skills. None of the traditional methods of calming my nerves help. What can I do to stop the nervousness?

I was prescribed Lorazepam because I have a very serious phobia toward public speaking. Tomorrow will be the first day I actually try the medication before a presentation. How much time before the presentation do I have to take the pill? Is suppose to help me with high bp, anxiety, and nervousness? How am I supposed to feel during the presentation?
