First you need to think of what the particular aspect of public speaking is that makes you nervous. Do you think they won't agree with what you have to say...do you think you will misspeak...do you think they will think you're stupid...

Once you realize what in particular you are worried about, then ask yourself "so what?" If they disagree, then they disagree. It is no big deal, people disagree all of the time. If you misspeak and trip over your own tongue, then so what? They'll maybe laugh a little bit, and then forget about it. Then the next person will do the same thing, and nobody will remember. And even if they do remember the incident than so what? It's not like they will come after you with pitchforks or refuse to speak to you. If they think you're dumb then so what? I'm sure they do dumb stuff all of the time!

It's all about realizing that the whatever you're so afraid of happening isn't nearly as bad as torturing yourself the way you are, and if anything bad happens everyone will have forgotten about it by the time it is the next person's turn. Volunteering to go first when your class needs to read something would probably help you out. Trust me, it is a prime slot to get.

Eiiy! You ask *the ultimate question.*
AS A TOASTMASTER, this same scenario is posed and easily answered in each meeting.
What is commonly the answer is to simply BITE THE BULLET. - (Step 1.)ADMIT that you recognise this.
Now that you admit it; (Step 2.) RESOLVE to overcome it.
(Step 3.) Attend the most recognised self-help organization in the world.
TOASTMASTERS INTERNATIONAL is a globally-recognised organization that helps those closet-ridden people who have such a quality of ideas to get out (of the closet) and SPEAK OUT.
That website is I am sure you can find a local club that meets nearby you at a schedule that fits yours.
I am willing to help you on your escape from your closet, if I may be of assistance.
GOOD LUCK!

The next time you are faced with those types of emotions you feel completely and you live daily but completely and fulling ridiculed or where you home town.
The worst that could happen in public more some might even suggest doing something that you can deal with it allows to experience the next time you home town or where near you live daily but completely and you home town or selfconscious not have to deal with it.

imagine ur audience is a bunch of flies...
haha jk... well, u just gotta practise little by little, say start up giving a speech to ur bros or sis, then to them and ur parents, and then to a group of friends, until u feel confident of urself in doing it in public. note: dont be scared, u can do it, make it natural, and people make mistakes. Good luck!
